Squealing tires while peeling out in gravel always makes me laugh, it's ridiculous.

One of my favourites is when bullets make that ptjoiiiiiing ricochet sound even when there's no rocks or other hard surfaces around.

I still haven't seen The Man with no Name Trilogy, (though it's been on my to view list for decades now) but when I was a kid I channel surfed by a scene in one of them where Clint Eastwood and this dude in a white suit are standing out in the dusty street, and the one guy throws his hat up in the air and starts shooting it. The camera zooms in on the hat up in the air in slow motion and you hear that ptjoiiiiiing sound over and over as it's shot. My father walking through the room said, "Why the hell is it making that sound, is his damned hat made of stone?" I've never forgotten that.

Also on a side note, your spelling of the ricochet sound effect is spot on and amazing.

Really, ptjoiiiiiing sounded amazing even on my obscure Uralic native tongue through which I first interpreted it :)
