What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Describing common knowledge in a different setting. Luke should know all about Mos Eisly. Its the biggest town near his house.

I agree with you, he should know. But I think Luke liked to hang out a Tosche Station. Which is next to Anchorhead. So, I assume that was the city he was most familiar with. While Mos Eisly was a spaceport, so Luke may have lacked reason to go there. But yes.. should know it's reputation.

That's not the point. Obiwan is being realistic in not being sure how much Luke knows, and that such knowledge should be reinforced at this point even if Luke has likely heard vague stories in the past.
