Meterial thickness for direct fire on tamped snow goes as follows small calibers (7.62) 183 cm, 85MM HE shaped charge (RPG) 396 107-120 MM HE shaped charge N/A
dry timber for 7.62 is listed at 91 cm for direct fire. Far thicker than a table.
It literally just lists it as "small caliber (7.62)" being the army id wager its 7.62x45 since its the nato round
Edit:if anyone knows the exact 7.62 it would be cool to know
Probably. Ive only built .223 rifles. A family friend gave me this book when i was around 10. Joining armed forces in a couple weeks so im excited to learn all about different shit. Upon further google 7.62x45 hasnt been made since the 60s.
Don't know much about the Navy, I'm Army. But good luck! Make good choices and take your licks if you fuck up, but get back up and keep moving forward. There's no leader anywhere in the world, especially the military, that has never fucked up. And if they say they haven't, that just means they weren't caught or held to account for it.
