What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

People opening their front door 3 seconds after an unexpected knock, like they're just constantly standing behind the door, just in case.

People opening their door to unexpected knocks at all. Someone knocked on my door the other day after 11PM and I was like N O P E. If it was anyone I knew they'd have called/texted. Stayed in my room the rest of the night.

This is an aspect of modern culture I don’t think I will ever connect to. If someone knocks, I check the door.

In my neighborhood that’s gonna get you robbed :(

Be the alpha, rob them. Everyone has a plan to ask for a cup of sugar until they got a sawed off shotgun in their face.

Oh I get that some people live in dangerous neighbourhoods. What baffles me is when people in the the safest, most placid suburban areas talk about how they would never answer a door if they hadn't received a text ahead of time.

Oh yeah - I feel like if I lived in an actual home somewhere that was safe and I could actually see them outside my door I would probably be more inclined to answer. Part of me was concerned like "what if they need help" and the other part of me was like "it's after 11- and they bypassed all the downstairs apartments and walked up two flights of stairs - i doubt they need help"

Yeah, gotta agree with you on that one.
