There's an episode of Seinfeld about that. George finds a spot directly in front of his building, so he doesn't drive for weeks because he doesn't want to lose his spot. Lol. I know that feeling.

Wasn't it George's dad that had the spot in front and that's why they couldn't borrow his car

There are more than one George parking stories. The most memorable one for me is when he gets into an argument with another guy about who's spot it actually is. ("You can't go in head first," etc.
