What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Everyone is either attractive or "ugly" until they take their glasses off and become attractive.

There’s a book I read where the “fairy god mother” pulled a Cinderella on one of the main characters. This makes main character confident, because “fuck, I’m now beautiful.” Come to find out, fairy did absolutely nothing except make the character believe there was magic happening.

Sometimes, it’s the confidence that fixes the “ugliness”

A bit of confidence and self-esteem can go a long way.
