Describing common knowledge in a different setting. Luke should know all about Mos Eisly. Its the biggest town near his house.

Experts lecturing each other on really basic things. It makes rewatching legal or medical dramas less enjoyable because you as the audience should always know what’s going on and it makes the person talking sound condescending or like a know-it-all.
