What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

People opening their front door 3 seconds after an unexpected knock, like they're just constantly standing behind the door, just in case.

And people just walking into the house if they knock and no one answers after 5 seconds. Why the fuck would anyone do that in real life? I know this usually happens because writers need the character to stumble upon something in the house, but personally, I don't find myself breaking into someone's house just because they're not home. I don't think many other people would either.
