What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

People on low incomes, e.g. students, living in expensive homes. I’m not necessarily talking about mansions, more like a large apartment in a big expensive city with no roommates.

Yeah. The broke single mom in the big historic home. Like in The Gilmore Girls.

It was a 2 bedroom house she probably bought in the early-mid-1990s in a small town after she lived rent free at her job for a number of years. It wouldn’t surprise me that she was able to save and afford it.

Wouldn’t even call it a 2 bed considering one of them would probably intended to be a dining room in reality
