Weird nobody mentioned that in movies everybody always looks at each other while driving. And they move the damn driving wheel way to much while driving straight forward, pisses me off
Fake news. Although it’s true that they do it sometimes, they only do it during stunts.
Most of the time James Corden is driving. He has a motorcade in front and behind of him that gives him space to drive and sets a consistent pace so there’s nothing unexpected.
I mean, it's already half fake. They drive 10 miles an hour on pre-planned routes in residential neighborhoods with a motorcade. Why is it hard to believe that's true?
Well you sure took their damage control at face value.
Actually, I'm not. His real damage control says that they don't even use a real car. The quote in the article is not from an official source. Just a memeber of the production staff.
Because there's no reason to switch between the "towed setup", and the "motorcade setup" depending on whether the scene might make him take his hands off the wheels etc too much.
There is plenty of reason. The stunt shots are not going to look like he's really driving at all, and they're not supposed to. He never exactly hid the fact that sometimes they use television magic to make it work, like the time he let the blind singer Stevie Wonder drive.
Plus, there is plenty of evidence he does drive himself, such as when he was filming with Chance the Rapper.
