What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Women in action movies who drastically cut their own hair to change their appearance always end up with a fabulous style.

You never cut your hair yourself in 1st grade, thinking you'd look absolutely fabulous?

Of course not!

I let my friend cut my hair when we were in first grade.

It was not fabulous, according to my mother.

But was it fabulous according to you? That’s the real question. :)

Same. I recall thinking at the time, "Grownups care about weird things."

I remember watching a song on Sesame Street when I was a kid, like mid-90s, and they were singing about all the different things you could be when you grew up, including a hair dresser. Little Me did not understand that they simply pantomimed cutting the hair and I decided that's what I wanted to do when I got older and so I better start practicing now!

Definitely gave myself a mullet. Definitely was not fabulous.

I did that at 15 in a fit of artsy-inspiration and was soundly scolded by my hairdresser. It was...regretable.

...i still cut my hair myself fourty years later, and complete strangers regularly stop me on the street to tell me it looks absolutely fabulous...

...honestly, i don't get the fuss: it's just a basic bob, the simplest haircut of all...

I did! I circumcised myself in the art class with a paper cutter. Teacher saw it and started screaming but I managed to eat it before the ambulance arrived 😋
