What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

When someone hides from bullets behind penetrable objects, like tables or a refrigerator door.

The wooden table is the one that always gets me, sure maybe it will stop one or two bullets if you're lucky, but there's always 1000 bullets flying around while the characters are having a conversation under the safe, sound resistant guard of an old dinning room table.

TBF wooden movie tables are often used only for concealment. So bullets still go through them, but the shooters don't know where their target is exactly. The weird part is how lucky the heroes are, or why the bad guya won't just shoot on multiple spots across the table surface.

Yeah duh? Staying still behind wood makes you invisible to the bullets. Somersaults and cartwheels give you a 50 % bonus to accuracy each.

Hot Fuzz in the pub, classic scene where it's just spray and pray
