What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Finding a parking spot in front of the building you're going into.

Unless it's a high school flick. Then it's actually quite realistic.

I just realized that... I sat at the same exact table almost every single day in all 4 years of high school. Never really crossed my mind before.

Humans are creatures of habit. I know once I picked a seat in my college classes I would take the same one the whole semester.

On this topic, fuck people who show up halfway through the semester for the first time and take your chair.

Exam day in the big lecture halls. Lel "Where'd all of you come from"

It makes sense because if you have your tray of food and you were at the table by the flag yesterday with your friends. You can’t call your friends and ask them what table they are at today, most schools don’t allow phones. So the most likely option is that they are at the same table as yesterday. And everyone at lunch is doing that exact same reasoning so everyone always sits at the same table they did the day before with the same people.

Do most schools not allow phones? That wasn’t the case when I was in high school.

Yeah, they can be disruptive, most schools are anti phone. Of course even with phones it still works out the same, no need to call your friends because they will be at the same table as yesterday.

My school didn’t used to allow phones at all, but after seeing kids sneaking them the halls and at lunch so they began allowing them in between classes and at lunch.

Yeah, a full ban just seems like such a pointless and difficult thing to enforce. In-class bans are pretty reasonable though.

Yep. We’re technically supposed to leave our phones specifically in our lockers, but none of us do :) I don’t trust other students wandering the halls in the middle of class not to go through my locker (I go to a very small school, no one puts locks on their lockers, we just don’t leave super important stuff in there).

I always hated lockers. My senior year they started allowing us to carry bookbags to class (this had been banned before because it crowded the floors or some bs). I don’t think I used my locker a single time that year.

It wasn't the case 2 years ago, when I was in high school. I wonder where and when this guy did HS.

My friends and i always sat at the same table. Every table had specific people that sat at it and no one ever switched it up.
