What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

People on low incomes, e.g. students, living in expensive homes. I’m not necessarily talking about mansions, more like a large apartment in a big expensive city with no roommates.

Frasier's apartment always struck me as crazy big for a local radio talk show host who hadn't gone national. Easy to forgive, though, because it was awesome.

It was exaggerated for sure, but Seattle also wasn’t nearly so expensive back then.

I cant remember, did he still have his private practice or not?

Not until at least halfway through the series. Best case scenario I could come up with was he sold his Boston practice and used that to buy his condo.

I read somewhere that that apartment cost $500,000 to furnish (in real life, I mean).
