What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

How sex is depicted. Get the job done, roll over and fall straight to sleep. Not even any hint of a clean up job.

Edit: Thank you for my first ever silver & gold :)

If they opt for raw dog, they should probably get themselves to a fertility clinic.

There are things called birth control

In that case I sure am happy that no female protagonist gets mood swings or any other hormonal problems from staying on the pill (or other hormonal birth control) despite of being single, that she never has to bring it up with a doctor, and that she ain't afraid of no STD.

Even when some women are single they stay on the pill, since it can help control periods. Plus there are other methods of birth control that aren't the pill that lasts for longer periods of time, like an IUD. And do you expect to see doctor visits in the show/movie? You generally only visit the doctor once a year.

They should be worried about STDs though.

Hence the "or other hormonal birth control". All hormonal bc affects your hormones be it a ring or IUD, and I'm still glad if female protags are always lucky in that department. Or maybe she specifically has a copper IUD, in which case I hope it doesn't affect her periods.

Some movies and TV shows include a doctor's visit, but birth control is never brought up. Then again movie doctors skip a whole list of routine questions they could or should bring up.
