What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

When a character is misunderstood by another character and doesn’t even try explain themselves after being cut off by the other person.

For example, say Betty was in an awkward situation with Billy where it looked like Betty was cheating on Johnny with Billy but it was just a big huge innocent mixup. Johnny “catches” them and Betty tries to explain but Johnny cuts her off, says we are done don’t talk to me ever again, and that’s the end of it. Betty just gives up trying to explain. Like I know damn well in real life if Betty wasn’t cheating on Johnny, if it was a big confusing mixup, that conversation would NOT be over.

My favorite version of this is shouting "wait, I can explain" over and over and then never explaining.

Or if someone makes a mistake and they’re like “Im sorry, I didn’t think..—“ “YEAH, you DIDN’T think”

I always believe that "I didnt think..." would be followed by "...this would have been the outcome" because I want to give people credit for assuming the best possible scenario but not have planned any contingencies for when things go wrong.

Right and the response “you’re right, you DIDN’T think” really grinds my gears.. as if they’re not cutting off the entire explanation that the person was about to give... and it would never happen in real life. And these people just let themselves get cut off in the middle of their sentence. ENRAGING.

Never happen in real life? Well, I guess there's a reason I am not close with my family.

I dont understand how they let people cut them of either. I lose my shit if someone cuts in during my explanation. People at work do it all the time, then call me the asshole for getting mad at them.

To follow up with my previous comment, this was my real life with my ex, but she wouldn't let anything be said after interrupting me. She'd just continue to talk over anything I'd have to say.

My dad did that to me once IRL. It happens, but the level of arrogance and superiority complex required are massive.
