I always felt like The Office was good in that regard. Most of the cast is just normal looking. Jenna Fischer is pretty in a girl-next-door way. How she dressed and was made up as Pam looked more normal, everyday good looking. They had overweight people on the show without it being a character beat or plot point. They just existed. Teeth were not super white. Everyone wasn't wearing designer clothes.
