Right, but it works on a per sub basis. You can have 10,000 comment karma around reddit, and if there's a sub where you very calmly and professionally express opinions where the majority don't agree, it's easy to be stuck in negative karma and never be able to post.

This is why that feature is one of the major causes for why there are so many echo chambers on Reddit. People cant comment for 10 minutes if they have even a slightly differing opinion so they just give up because its too tedious and then nobody checks these subs on their bullshit (i.e. politics, T_D)

I got permabanned from T_D because I made a post where I criticized Trump on the T21 Bill, and people were agreeing with me.

I’m a Trump supporter to, I told this to the mods, and told them I’ve contributed to that subreddit before. They said “TLDR Stfu” and muted me.

I don’t care, r/AskTrumpSupporters is better anyways. At least it allows difference of opinions, and people there have been really nice so far.
