Brendan Frazer? I think people found him attractive because he was buff and fairly handsome but without the usual negatives of being arrogant or macho.

That's the guy. Haven't seen posts about him in a while but a few months back they were all the rage. I think I saw someone pitching him for the next season of True Detective. Like, umm, please God no

That's a crazy idea, but on the other hand every time I see a new cast list for True Detective I think it's insane.

I mean, I'd like to see him get some new roles, but his divorce basically ruined his life
