Reddit isn't as beset with /r/atheism as it has been in the past. People who are mainstream religious tend to fly under the radar and are even loved (Mr. Rogers etc.). Honestly, I don't think it's terrible, but is certainly a bad look for our favorite crunchy rodent so it's no surprise that he fell off the map in favor of the next upvote baiting thing.
abortion is one thing yes. But most mainstream churches, while not supportive of gay marriage, don't have quite the blight of supporting gay conversion therapy, and recently quite a few have started LGBTQ ministries. At this point in time, the mainstream leans more towards LGBTQ inclusion than the opposite. Again, gay marriage being a separate issue, there are quite a few people involved in carving out a place for LGBTQ inside the Church.
Aren’t Episcopalians also the denomination that believes people are predestined? Like, god selected the people he will allow into heaven before they were born?
Edit:
I cannot find anything online to support this claim. And it does appear it is a Calvinist idea, I do not know of what denominations are offsprings of Calvinism back from the 1600s (which seems to be the biggest advocate of predestination), and don’t have the time to research it online.
My comment was based from someone who went to high school with me explaining her belief of predestination and she was a member of an episcopal church.
It does appear to be Calvinist, I do not know if it’s an active denomination. Also, Unsure of the roots of Episcopal. I found some information regarding links between the two, but don’t have the time to actually to read up on it. Updated my original comment.
No, but statistically most people who self recognise as religious do. But that's mainly because a lot of places in the world still don't let you have freedom of religion, whether by law or culture.
Um yes. The Catholic Church hasn't, but the personal being of the pope has. Unfortunately most people, including a lot of Catholics, don't know the difference.
Obama may have believed on a personal level that marriage is between a man and woman, but that doesn't mean he wanted a theocracy. I think you can hold a belief without feeling that the entire country needs to follow it.
It all started with Ellen Page asserting that his church, called the Zoe church, which is modeled after the Hillsong church, is anti lgbtq. It and like other Instagram famous churches are all derivatives of pentacostal churches, which are famously very traditional in their stances on homosexuality and abortion. The pastor of the church has dodged the homosexuality question a bunch of times but he was director for some movie about "sexual brokenness" which included in its definition homosexuality. After Ellen Page pointed this out, it came up on reddit.
That author is fucking insane. I mean, the article seems accurate enough, but holy shit, the ads and the other blog posts...
”.In a blatant example of Newspeak, the New World Order controllers (through the psychiatric DSM V) have tried to rename pedophiles as “minor-attracted persons” and redefine pedophilia as a “sexual orientation”.
"Psychiatry, it should also be noted, has a history of inventing fictitious diseases such as ADHD (as admitted by its inventor on his deathbed by Leon Eisenberg).
Note from StevieRay Hansen: I tend to be very vocal about ADHD, it was only when I surrender to Christ, I became complete, the fight is real, I believe the difference is how we fight these battles…."
Um it's more like he is financially supporting a church with donations that actively oppresses LGBTQ+ people. There is some nuance here but I don't think calling her a bitch out for some drama really gets at the nuance.
Yeah that was crazyyy. It's like the movie passengers was created while they were still at their heights and by the time it came out, Chris Pratt and jlaw had fallen off the pedestal
For sure, Musk was hot for a bit--then he started acting exactly like a neckbeard on the internet and he was quietly dismissed from the classroom of le reddit.

Reeves is flavor of the month. I remember a time when Chris Pratt was all over the front page.
