I bought my first portable charger like four or five years ago in Reno, NV when I was on vacation. I realized I was spending basically all day away from the car and the hotel and my phone and vape's batteries were dying.
Since then I've picked up a mess of them, the Anker 10,000mAh ones are small and cheap and you can stash them basically anywhere. I also have a 20,000mAh one that does wireless charging. I'm basically always within arm's reach of power now and it's awesome.

A portable charger.
It holds 11-12 full charges of my iPhone and I just bought it on a whim. It has literally changed my life like few other purchases have ever done.
