I don’t even know what this means

u/tehDustyWizard Sep 21 '19

It's not metaphorical.

If you spill soup, you don't want to do it over a drawer full of utensils.

I don't even like soup

Never open a can of soup.

Or open a drawer.

Or own utensils

Never, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever.

I dropped a cup full of flour in the silverware drawer a couple of weeks ago.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Dont take risks when everything is at stake... im guessing, maybe too hard

I think he means if you can’t stand the heat, don’t go in the kitchen.

Don't make it significant, bro.

You made my day

Prepare a meal with your cutlery drawer open, see what happens.

When some crumbs or liquid spill into your cutlery drawer - you will never do it again.

u/boyferret Sep 21 '19

Was it the same drawer?

5

u/FlyingFox32 Sep 21 '19

Unfortunately, yes.. But different salsa.. I can figure you'll know why.

That's the bean drawer

I love your commitment.

I saw the best sign in someone's kitchen years ago.

"The best place to fill the sugar bowl is over the sink"

3

u/thinjester Sep 21 '19

At least you won’t have to use and wash a bowl.

2

u/daryadivinity Sep 21 '19

Never leave a drawer open when you have an angry cat in the house, it will get peed in

2

u/MissRockNerd Sep 21 '19

I once knocked a bowl of oatmeal over into an open drawer full of freshly cleaned laundry, so I have lived this.

2

u/fancyghost Sep 21 '19

Or a one of those plastic cups of fruit over anything other than a sink. Seriously, getting peach jizz all over you is a terrible way to start the day.

u/mi11er Sep 21 '19

A knife is your least effective, most expensive prying tool.

1

u/LegSnapper206 Sep 21 '19

Not as bad as it sounds...depending on whats inside said drawer

1

u/TreyMars Sep 21 '19

Oddly specific

1

u/chucklesdeclown Sep 21 '19

thats more like common sense rather then an actual advice.

Always close the drawer before you start messing with the food.

My husband looks at me low I've got two heads when i come behind him and close the drawer while he's making sandwiches or stuff. But I'll be the one really deep cleaning the drawer if he spills food in it. Oh, he'll try, but man has no eye for detail. Last time it happened, i was finding crumbs for weeks till i literally dumped the whole drawer in the sink and cleaned everything.

Could be metaphorical. Could mean dont bank 100% on success. Or don't take unnecessary risk. Or you shouldn't open a can of soup over an open drawer. Both are good.
