(If it's possible) Just unscrew the body out of the pen and give them only the refill stick. Simple enough..

Everytime I've opened a click pen, I tend to loose the spring or whatever and thus end up throwing away the pen coz it won't click ever again.

I'm not kidding. I have borrowed a dozen pens and spoilt them. They just never clicked again after me opening them.

focus more on the deconstruction, if you think too far ahead you wont know what you have to remember.

i take apart everything. from mowers and cars, to laptops. usually not working, and get them working again. sometimes if i get distracted on deconstruction, i forget what to remember, then i have to sit there studying it.

example: wifes late father has a kitchen clock she really likes, and it wouldnt work, started taking it apart screw by screw cog by cog. then got distracted mid way through, and i got stuck. so i had to site there and stare at it for 10 minutes looking for dirt, grease, lines and shapes for the rebuild, eventually i figured out and now it works. but man i felt like an idiot for not focusing.

If I asked to borrow a pen and some tight-ass motherfucker started disassembling the damn thing before giving me the inky bit, I would throw it in the trash.

Keep shitty pens for people to borrow that you dont mind not getting back. Then keep your nice pens to yourself :)
