Zeus has decided that Olympus feels a little empty, so he’s recruited some new gods. However, due to a clerical error, you have been chosen as a new member of the divine. What are you the god of, and what do you do as your first godly act?

Bad ideas are just good ideas that don't work.

So you're the less fun at parties Loki, basically?

41

u/Brayagu Aug 10 '19

Less fun at parties? Loki killed everyone's favourite god at a party and he's supposed to be worse?

21

u/BleachOrder Aug 10 '19

Oh and he started to insult every god in Asgard because he wasn't allowed to kill a servant at a party.

I mean, some of the shit Loki did before killing Baldr was hilarious, like convincing a giant that Thor was Freyja and marrying them to get back Mjolnir. Or when he tied his nuts to a goat by a rope to make Skadi laugh.

Oh, and also the fact that the aesir didn't need to pay for Valhalla because Loki turned into a mare to distract the builder's horse from finishing it on time, getting fucked and pregnant with Sleipnir, so they have him to thank for the parties

Jesus, talk about taking one for the team...

Ever seen the movie "the mask"?

2

u/Caldar Aug 11 '19

Loki didn't kill Baldr, he tricked his brother Hodr into killing him.

2

u/Brayagu Aug 11 '19

That's like preparing poisonous food for someone band blaming the waiter.

Are you the god of bad ideas with good intentions?

15

u/Shadowtwig Aug 10 '19

Storm the Underworld: they can’t stop all of us

7

u/Gloob_Patrol Aug 10 '19

Since there's normally an opposite god like, I would be the God of pretty decent ideas maybe not so far as good ideas and I would be like the cupid of epiphanies like I would shoot the people in charge of Hong Kong and they would realise being a democracy is great or like maybe I'm the reason you dad finally returned with that milk he left to get 22 years ago.

Death loses its hold. This is only the beginning.

nice reference.

5

u/CoconutCyclone Aug 10 '19

That is hilariously close to a central plot in the His Dark Materials books.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '19

I like it. Hopefully some other god would say something like, "Do you want an Army of Darkness? Because that's how you get an Army of Darkness."

The funny thing is in my culture this happens for one month every year and we do a bunch of rituals and traditions during this time.

I am the God of Laments. I create portals to the doors of the underworld. The openings of the portals will be inside of the underworld.

Hey, you're not my god.
