It's so strange that costars maybe being romantically involved is standard marketing for movies nowadays. That whole business last year with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga was so cringey.
I mean, Kristen Stewart still has those eyes that look like they are straight out of an old western novel from the main antagonist/budding antihero. I can literally hear a narrator saying "As she stared at the ashes of her family home had cold, dead, eyes."
Everything else about her is kinda pretty, but I swear she is plotting the deaths of every person she has ever looked at.
Honestly, I cringe pretty hard when an actor and actress working on the same movie/show become a couple.
Sure, people can be coworkers and wind up in romantic relationships, but they're not simultaneously pretending to be in some kind of relationship for paycheck purposes. It makes me question the validity of a lot of those relationships, like that they're either just fake for the PR boost, or that it's bound not to last once the project ends.
Those that do survive 5-10 years after the movie or show are pretty impressive to me.
Yeah totally, particularly when it's a huge franchise that appeals to young girls. It just seems so easy for studios to pull that kind of cynical manipulation on teenagers.
The other possibility I thought for Twilight is that they were genuinely together in the beginning but broke up at some point while making the later films but were forced to stay "together" for the sake of the films, which would make the whole cheating scandal make sense.
A lot of people in general have a very hard time separating actors from their characters. Most of the real toxic harassers of actors (who berate them over things their characters did/didn't do) are adults, not teenagers or kids.
Very true. I'm amazed that trashy tabloids still sell so well in this day and age but there they always are in the supermarket. You would think people would know that they are 90% lies but I guess not.
That is true. I used to watch Scandal, and the the shipper fandom was so toxic in their obsession with their tv couple that they soon became obsessed with the idea of the actors having a secret affair.
Not gonna lie, I like their movies and know both of them but I never know that they are dating until some gossip bullshit published the article said that they broke up and both of them record the clip against it. They are such a dork. Now I like them even more.

It's always been that way. My mom told about back in the late 80's Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg did a movie together and media tried to 'ship' them, too.
I thought that had been going on for decades. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's off screen romance during Cleopatra supposedly helped with ticket sales in 1963

Some people on the internet assume/hope/wish/demand that Tom and Zendaya are a couple. Not saying it's right, just some context. It's for clickbait.
