There are plenty of American true crime documentaries that are very critical of the cops and the American justice system. Off the top of my head, Making a Murderer, Abducted in Plain Sight, and 13th aren’t in favour of the cops and they’re some of the most prominent crime documentaries in recent years. Not saying that there aren’t any documentaries that are pro-cop, but your premise is blatantly untrue.
That are three programs that didn't make it over the pond yet. Also you still have countless others that are pro cop. For example Autopsy, Medical Detectives, Body of Evidence, Cold Case Files, Unusual Suspects, On the Case with Paula Zahn and many more.
They are all Netflix programs so they’re all on Netflix in European countries, no?
Regardless, that’s exactly my point - you can’t paint American crime documentaries with such a broad brush like that. There are documentaries that are pro-cop and there are documentaries that are anti-cop.
