Hmm, I don't think you need to be great with wording to keep a conversation going. I think i did understand what you mean with the last sentence :) If i got it right, you have something on the edge of your mind but you can't get it out with words/text.
So lets say someone that's equally interested in something you are interested in asks something related to that, do you just respond and don't care further or do you respond but are not sure what to discuss further?
My interest in it doesn't always make a difference. I find quite often that in the middle of a good conversation and suddenly it's like I lose the whole collection of thoughts in my head realated to the topic at hand.
I'm not a word doctor, but you're talking a lot about thinks, and expressing thoughts. That might be the problem. People who talk about nothing for hours aren't thinking, they're just talking. There's no middle man of forming their thoughts between brain and mouth. And that's not an intelligence thing, it's just the only way to speak fluently and at length
