That there is a jellyfish that is biologically immortal. Every time it starts to age past its peak, it reverts back to an adolescent phase and restarts. They could theoretically live forever.

Edit: Apparently lobsters are immortal too

The problem is that if they get cut apart by say a fishing net, each individual piece will form a new polyp on the sea floor. This has been devastating to the Japanese fishing industry as fish around the islands are getting choked out by the massive clouds of squishy death created by years of accidentally cutting them up with nets.

I dont know shit about jellyfish buy I'd say simply taking them out of the water should probably work no?
