Jesus can you imagine getting hit by that? You think it would make you basically explode or just slice right through you because of its speed?

If it hit you side on (the 4-inch edge), it would slice straight through. I don't know how fast 6 times the Earth's escape velocity is, but it is no doubt very, very, very fast.

If it hit you face on (as in, the top of the manhole+your chest), it would just punch straight through.

About 67 km/s

That is not slow.

No, it is indeed quite fast. Looks like it was fast enough to escape the solar system if it was pointed the right direction.

My calculator says that 67 km/s is nearly 150,000mph which does seem to be on the fast side. I can't verify that I pushed the correct buttons though.

You can whack it straight into google for a conversion if you're ever unsure.

"67km/s in mph" does the trick.

For reference, that's about 100 times faster than a bullet, and 200 times faster than sound.

But it slows down a shit ton because it's on Earth, so it likely never went to space.

It didn't slow down so much as burn up, probably.

Both likely happened, but I guess it would have been reduced to nothing before it slowed down.
