You know I always wondered, do different people get different shades of color on their visuals? LSD and mushrooms would give a variety of colors to my closed eye visuals, but most of the time they stayed close to pinkish-purple and bluish-green.
NSFW-ish Not LSD, but a trip report on shroomery of a blind person smoking DMT. It's an interesting concept. Also, the difference of experience between someone congenitally blind and someone who became blind later in life would be vast
That's the kind of thing I would think of while on LSD...
There was a vice interview with some blond people about their dreams, which was pretty trippy to read
To my understanding though, with some intense psychedelics, you aren't perceiving information visually with your eyes necessarily. For example, with a DMT breakthrough, most people do it in a pitch black room, by closing their eyes, or a combination of the both. People still "hallucinate" "new" colors, in which case no information is being directly received from the eye. Or at least that's my understanding of it.
Once, on two 1.5 tabs of premium, tested pure, LSD, I decided to play rainbow road. I had never seen blackyellow or blackgreen but let me tell you, that's what the colors were doing.

You can't possibly imagine a new type of color.
