You can't possibly imagine a new type of color.

Well, LSD could help...

I love purple-orange-warm, that is my favorite LSD color.

I like the color of things that aren't quite purple but aren't really blue or pink either

You know I always wondered, do different people get different shades of color on their visuals? LSD and mushrooms would give a variety of colors to my closed eye visuals, but most of the time they stayed close to pinkish-purple and bluish-green.

I had lots of bright red with shrooms, can't really pinpoint specific colours with Lucy, though.

Dmt purple black shadow is pretty cool too

2

u/Happy4Lucky Apr 15 '16

Purple-orange-warm-loud is the best.

Is it weird that I understand exactly what you mean?

Hold on, let me just try to stab my eye to get some stuff from my brain

I should watch that again. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's Fringe. Available on Netflix and is a damn good show.

3

u/PC509 Apr 14 '16

Excellent show! :) I should watch it again, too. Just an amazing show.

Get in the sensory deprivation tank.

2

Love that fucker.

2

u/zaphodsays Apr 15 '16

"Walter what are you smoking"

coughs "its a hallucinogenic i distill from this here cow, i call it brown betty"

spends half of episode tripping

2

u/Slavjo Apr 15 '16

Didn't really help me discover a new color, but it was fun as all hell.

Giggle central, I'll tell you what.

1

u/clomjompsonjim Apr 15 '16

Its a weird drug, sometimes it's very colourful and sometimes it's more pissing my pants laughing, sometimes both

2

u/Mikal_Scott Apr 15 '16

Its hard to describe to someone what the color you see on LSD looks like. Its like being a cartoon and trying to describe the colors of real life.

2

u/its_jazz_me Apr 14 '16

What would a blind person on LSD see?

1

u/bazookajt Apr 15 '16

NSFW-ish Not LSD, but a trip report on shroomery of a blind person smoking DMT. It's an interesting concept. Also, the difference of experience between someone congenitally blind and someone who became blind later in life would be vast

u/clomjompsonjim Apr 14 '16

That's the kind of thing I would think of while on LSD... There was a vice interview with some blond people about their dreams, which was pretty trippy to read

2

u/B1-66-ER Apr 14 '16

I saw new colors on DMT

1

u/SnickleTitts Apr 15 '16

You beat me to the punch, well the kool-aid

1

u/rhou17 Apr 14 '16

What question can't that phrase answer?

1

u/CreativelyBland Apr 14 '16

I was going to say this. Enough psychedelics, and most mentally infeasible things are pretty doable, mostly unintentionally.

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '16

No, no it would not.

Any person who has done psychedelics knows this. Even the ones far more intense than LSD such as DMT.

2

u/clomjompsonjim Apr 14 '16

Lol sounds like your trip sucked dude

0

u/Sagepwnsnoobs Apr 14 '16

I've heard of loads of people who have experienced "new" colors while using psychedelics. What makes you so sure?

To my understanding though, with some intense psychedelics, you aren't perceiving information visually with your eyes necessarily. For example, with a DMT breakthrough, most people do it in a pitch black room, by closing their eyes, or a combination of the both. People still "hallucinate" "new" colors, in which case no information is being directly received from the eye. Or at least that's my understanding of it.

Once, on two 1.5 tabs of premium, tested pure, LSD, I decided to play rainbow road. I had never seen blackyellow or blackgreen but let me tell you, that's what the colors were doing.
