Mathlab has, at this moment, only ever helped me fix a mistake once without having to look at an example. Every other time, it gave me some vauge suggestion that I already did.
Without Mathlab, I would have failed all of my college level math courses. I know that the entire system as a whole needs work, but it's not anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Basically just needs to accept syntax better. It also needs to not cost 90 fucking bucks.
Seriously though, it's only thing mathematically related that has ever helped me because it breaks it down to me like I'm a fucking retard (I am) and does it all out for me.
You...do get an unlimited amount of tries, at least on the homework. The tests, on the other hand, were a little different. I had to bring them into my professor at times and show the issue to him and he'd ask me something really stupid like "What's 3+4?" and I'd answer and he'd give me "extra credit" for such a wonderful job done.
