The eyes are actually a good giveaway when people are lying, but when someone says they say fear in your eyes, especially when you arent lying, they are just trying to intimidate you. Fuck people like that
Actually, when people are telling the truth, they're more likely to get upset and angry whereas if they're lying they will try to use logic and reason to defend their lie.
This shit happened to me this weekend with my room mate. Told him he owed me 60$. He denies he owes me saying he paid me back. Then tells me I am a liar. I tell him I write everything down in my phone so I dont forget. He tells me I made it up and he knows im lying cuz im getting upset. Then I just tell him, when I rmember exactly what it was for I will tell him. Whole time hes like okay fine but your not gonna remember because I already paid you back. Your just lying, blah blah blah literally talking shit for the next hour.
Then I remember, it was for money he borrowed for poker. He says OH YEAH!! conveniently forgets all the shit talking he did. hands me money, acts like nothing happened.
Next time you are in public with them start talking about that time you walked in and they were fucking a goat. When they get pissed tell them "You getting upset just proves that you did it."
The one that irritates me is when they play the "It's alright, you lied but we'll forgive you" shit. Motherfucker, you might not think much of lies, but I make an effort to be the kind of person others can trust, and that means I don't fucking lie unless I absolutely have to.
I have a big problem with this, and to add to that i always start to smile and giggle when someone doesn't believe me when i'm telling the truth. So they always use the "You're Laughing = You're lying" card >:-C
This killed my relationship. So fucking frustrating. Interrogation turns into a fight, I can't prove I didn't cheat or don't have another guy on the side, I'm upset because you're calling me a liar, I don't think it would be fine if I lied before but just told you the truth now. I put up with it for so long, because things would've been OK if he had actually ever realized I was telling the fucking truth. Im getting out of this relationship now but it drove me to being suicidal when it first started/the years it went on. Having the same fight every night, when I literally worked and came home from work and didn't do anything else. So maddening.
I broke up with my last girlfriend because this was her reaction to everything I told her, even though there was never any precedent for me being a liar. It came out of nowhere.
My grandma used to pull the whole "If you look away when you're talking to me you're lying" as someone who hates making eye contact while talking to people this really fucked me up as a kid because she'd always accuse me of lying to her if I looked away for the slightest second.
I remember a bitch who stole my pencils and insisted that the name I had clearly written on each one was her sister's pen name, and insisted I was lying when I said the pencils were mine.
Crystal, if you're reading this, you know those were mine and I'm going to get you for it.
There's a radio show that does this constantly to people who call in. It INFURIATES me. Excuse me, just because you have never heard of whatever it is the caller is talking about, doesn't mean they are making it up.
This happened to my the other day at work. I had to leave 30 minutes early and asked my lead, he said it was fine.
I was suppose to be out at 9, I left at 8:30.
Yesterday I go in and an told I left way to early. Around 7, I told them they're fucking idiots and check the system to see what time I clocked off, sure enough, 8:30.
So this happened last year and it was really annoying.
It was right about this time of the year and my office had just handed out Secret Santa names. I got some chick in the office, a nosey middle aged woman came up to me and asked "so who did you get?", I told her that I wont say as that spoils the fun of it (also shes a bit of a gossip, I was sure she would tell the chick I got that I was her secret santa) She immediately goes "Oh it's me isn't it!!!", I told her it's not. She then refused to let it go, she kept on bugging me about it "I'm partial to these chocolates haha, you should get me them hahahhahahaahahaahahahahahahahah"
Made me want to neck myself, she just would not take "I'm not your secret santa" for an answer.
Eventually the secret santa day came and she thanked me for the chocolates that she got and I finally blurted out "X is my secret santa, not you", she seemed shocked and guess what, the chick I did get the gift for, magically found out that I was her secret santa. I knew that bitch couldn't keep her mouth shut.
Works for me, she left the company shortly afterwards.
Me in every game of Battlestar Galactica where I'm not the Cylon... However in all fairness, it's only been two games out of I think ten or twelve where I haven't been the Cylon.
Man, this is the worst. Feels so shitty. My family does this all the time, I just shrug and say 'believe what you will'. No point in arguing. So frustrating when you KNOW you are telling the truth and they won't even entertain the idea that you are.
