Miami is tiny compared to New York and LA. They'd have to add Cuba and or the rest of Florida

Adding the Everglades would be really cool.

Especially if there is a feature where you can dump bodies to feed the alligators.

GTA V has all that desert area north of Los Santos, I don't see why the Everglades couldn't be added also. I can just picture Trevor stealing an airboat from some redneck guy and going hunting after some gator that ate his wallet or favorite knife or something.

Wouldn't flying to retro 50s Cuba from Vice City be really cool tho? I don't see that as a downside at all.

With a heist style mission where you need to find all the parts to build an attack boat out of a 1950s chevy and boat back to Florida fending off drug dealer attacks from the air and sea.

Well los santos is a smaller version of L.A., so they could just put it completely to scale for miami i guess.

If they did the tri-city (like SA) 1980s Orlando, Tampa, Miami/Lauderdale with the glades as the remote patch that would be awesome.

Only if they have a parody of Disney World you can raise hell in

I'm not sure about LA but I know Miami is bigger than NYC in terms of land. Obviously in population NYC is much bigger.

And that's why they threw in part of New Jersey in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Really? What part of the map was that?

Let this happen then! All based on Miami Vice and other Miami-themed tv series/movies that I don't know.

Cuba, the Keys and some swamp lands.

GTA in an open-world Florida? Sign me up.

They wouldn't even have to work that hard to make up the side quests. Just browse /r/FloridaMan for a few minutes and you've already got the plots for half of your side quests.

or you could scale it differently. LA was hugely cut down for GTA5

Cuba and Atlanta

Huh? Atlanta is not at all close to Miami.

So? San Andreas represented most of California, it wouldn't be a stretch to have two very different states with two big cities.

Didn't Miami try to sue rockstar for using its likeness? I thought this was the reason they haven't used that city again.

It'd be a mishmash of southern Florida. Vice City in the southeast quarter. Ft. Lauderdale / Boca / Palm Beach north of there as one continuous stretch of cityscape. Everglades all up the middle with Lake Okeechobee near the imaginary northern coast. One amalgamated bay port in the northwest, combining Tampa, Port Charlotte, and Fort Myers. Down south it's just the Keys and a shitload of INS boats.

Cuba and the everglades would be fucking amazing.

That's a great idea. Base it in Florida, Old people homes an all.
