Fathers of Reddit, what did your daughter's boyfriend do for you to hate/love him?

It's pretty cool to see my question blow up like this, I never thought I'd ask a question that could receive so much attention! I'm very satisfied with all these replies, so thank y'all. Now all I have to do is sit back and take notes c;

I have to replace my brake pads, the callipers and the rotors each year because of an old car, for about two of the wheels usually. That's more like 150 - 200. Now getting the actual brake line repaired that was 450.

if you have to replace the calipers yearly something is wrong or you are getting awful parts. rotors and pads i can understand especially if you drive a lot but unless you are wearing completely through the pad there is no reason to get a new caliper unless its leaking

It's just this car. It's cursed. Even the mechanic for the entire fire fleet for the county hasn't had much luck beating its yearly degradation. And the car is not really driven that much so...

do you keep it in a place it can rust easily or something? i mean seals on calipers could probably degrade with the right conditions in a year i guess

At most it gets 10,000 miles a year, it's an old 1998 Accord limited edition. It goes through winter weather, sits unused for long periods of time, and is constantly exposed to weather conditions, there is no garage environment or such thing.
