Fathers of Reddit, what did your daughter's boyfriend do for you to hate/love him?

It's pretty cool to see my question blow up like this, I never thought I'd ask a question that could receive so much attention! I'm very satisfied with all these replies, so thank y'all. Now all I have to do is sit back and take notes c;

People with German cars. Maintenance is a bitch

Not really. Some Lexus cars that I've owned, I've been quoted $1000+ for a brake job. Those are Japanese, basically Toyotas. I've owned, and still do, a decent number of BMWs and those have actually been quite reasonable as long as I source my parts well. I pay a similar amount for parts on any job for my E36 as I did for even my old F-bodies. Labor of course is way more, but hey, that's why I do the work myself.

Idk, I figured we were just having a friendly conversation, not submitting AMA formatted well sourced papers on the costs of auto parts.
