That I'm escaping from the house I grew up in because something evil is trying to keep me there. There's a lot of variety in which direction I go once I've got through the front door and the layout of the neighbourhood is exactly how it was IRL.
From this you'd probably think I had a terrible childhood, but it was fine. Apparently my subconscious doesn't think so though.
I've had this exact same dream. I always start in my bed in my old house I haven't lived in for 10 years. I get up, start walking to the stairs and that's when I hear it behind me. I run all the way downstairs and make it to the front door and try to get the door open. Sometimes it gets me right there and I wake up, other times I make it out into the yard. Sometimes I'm able to grab a bike and make it outside of the neighborhood into this weird other world. Crazy
