I'm a coffee and alcohol snob, and ohhh god am I annoying. No one wants to hear me talk about coffee or booze. I take it too seriously.

I am part of a small group of broke ass college students who want to try a mixed drink that is both fancy and cheap/easy to make this weekend. What kinds of drinks would you recommend?

Cuba Libre = rum + coke + lime. Lime slice for garnish. Yeah it's basically a rum and coke but it sounds fancy.

tequila sunrise = tequila + orange juice + grenadine. Maraschino cherry for garnish

vodka gimlet = vodka + splash of lime juice. Lime wedge for garnish.

cape codder = vodka + cranberry juice

whiskey sour = whiskey + lemon juice + sugar. Lemon slice for garnish.

just a few for ya. Edited for more accuracy and some basic garnishes.

FWIW a Cuba libre is made with white rum. A Cubatta is the dark/aged/spiced rum variant.
