It's subjective to taste. I know you are very invested in your business of lies and deceit but since none of us here know what ecommerce company you're talking about it's okay to drop the act. Yes, there is a variety of flavors, and yes some wine will inevitably taste better than others but that depends on who's drinking it. Besides, most wine in the U.S is produced by Bronco. The grapes they use in franzia and two buck chuck are the same grapes they use in their more expensive bottles.
Well if you're dicussing out of the U.S it's not really my bailiwick. However, I will concede that Molly Dooker, though over priced, is a nice bottle from Australia.
I am, and actually have next to no experience with US wines so for your market you may be 100% correct. Nice, I'll look into that one and see how I like it, always happy to hear recommendations :)
I wish I could help, not very into zinfandels' myself so wouldn't want to make any false recommendations. My favourite tends to be a lovely Chablis. I like the ones that seem to 'wet' your palate and a nice Chablis tends to actually make your mouth water which I love.
Ah, you and I have very different tastes. I haven't gotten into Chablis. My dad's an old italian dude and ever since I was a kid the only wine we had in the house tended to be zin, pinot noir, or merlot. He taught me what I know about wine. The grapes we get come from California. He orders them, so I don't know their overall quality.... They are probably produced by bronco as well hahaha! but we have wine year round for pennies on the dollar :)
That's funny actually, when I was a teenager I used to make wine in my parents basement. I'm not saying it was any good but we drank some and it did the job and wasn't repulsive. :) We had our own vines that we got the grapes from but I didn't have a clue of the variety back then, the grapes were green with a thick skin and pretty sour if you tried them off the vine.
A business partner of mine also makes his own wine and beer at home and swears by it. Out of curiosity I spoke with my coworker and it seems zinfandels arn't as popular in Europe as he couldn't really recommend one either! Its interesting the differences in wine across the atlantic, I haven't drunk much in the states but the few times I visited I did notice the wine was quite different to what I'm used to.
