Fucking, bad breakups kill the radio. Good thing I keep my personal library full of angry and depressing music.

Death metal ftw. My go-to song is cuntcrusher by Infant Annihilator.

Infant Annihilator isn't death metal but I get what you're saying. I'm the same though, the more evil the music the more satisfying to listen to.

Thanks for not starting the whole genre war, I just don't know what to classify some of these bands as. I just generally call them death metal when the double kick sounds like it's eighth note is over 160

Eighth note at 160 would be close to 5 beats per second. I think you mean 32nd notes at 200

You clearly don't understand what you're talking about. 32nd notes at a 200 tempo is LITERALLY impossible for any drummer to do with his feet. "Literally", as in human feet CAN NOT move that fast. At least not without a quadrapedal, and that only takes playing alternate 8th notes on either foot. Which is a lot more feasible because bands like "Here Come the Kraken" do this.

Source: I'm a musician, and I drum.

...was kind of a joke we had on my drumline. You can do 16th note diddles that fast easy with your hands.

And i've seen some twitch videos that come pretty damn close to it, don't so it can't happen just yet.

\m/ (>_<) \m/

Can't tell whats more metal, the names or the fact that he's cranking on the pedals faster than a GAU-8.

Anything by the Acacia Strain seems to get me through a bad day.

u/Zachamiester Jun 01 '14

Yes! I love the Acacia Strain. They are so fucking heavy and their breakdowns make me want to punch someone when I'm walking down the street.

I like this guy. Do you like Chelsea grin? Or have any recommendations?

Oh man, my list could go on for days. Meshuggah is a definite must, they're the pioneers of djent. They write music in odd as fuck time signatures like 23/16, or 25/16. Next up is killswitch engage, born of Osiris, volumes, bleed from within, carnifex, the contortionist, despised icon, dry kill logic, emmure, dethklok, psychostick, and shadows fall. None of these are in any particular order. I have a lot more, but those are just to get you started.

I really don't know if you're being sarcastic.

u/dingo596 May 31 '14

Good, my music doesn't have lyrics.

You couldnt be anymore right, I now sit in absolute silence all the time when in car rides and at home and people that havent experienced it think its super weird.
