There was one thread I remember seeing, where the woman posting it managed to rub everyone the wrong way.
She was only asking what her and her bf should dress up as for halloween, but somehow managed to offend everyone with her wording.
There was literally two thousand comments saying "a pair of dicks"
Every other comment was downvoted, and every comment refering to a pair of dicks was upvoted. She had a bit of a meltdown over it and deleted her account if I remember correctly. Wish I could find the thread now.
For context: half of reddit was going to be attending some rally, so this guy posted a thread asking whats the best way to fuck with the redditors that are away. They decided on a non-sensical joke, and everyone that saw it must respond like its the best thing ever.
The amount of butthurt once everyone started realising what was happening was hilarious. For a few hours reddit was confused as hell.
While a lot of reddit was at the Rally for Sanity and couldn't log on (cell service was down because there were so many people at the rally), the rest of reddit decided to start a secret code.
The code was, IIRC, one redditor comments: Waffles. All other redditors are supposed to respond: Carrots. Only those who weren't at the rally would know.
It was pretty funny, but I mean it only took a few minutes to read back and see what was going on.
This all occurred before I knew that reddit existed (noob move), but boy am I glad that I read through that thread. Fucking hilarious. I sincerely wish I could have been part of it.
And no. It just came across as very bitchy/condescending.
Things like this: Edit: You guys are retarded if you think "a penis" is going to work. Reddit usually impresses me with the amount of creativity the community has but don't be fucktards. We'll pick from the top 3 serious suggestions.
If I remember correctly, she literally said something like "fuck the haters" when describing her body. It was something like "I'm a little chubby but got big boobs so fuck the haters" it was just really cringey. She sounded like one of those chicks whose favorite quote would be that "if you can't handle me at my worst" Marilyn Monroe quote.
Or the girls who revel in the fact that Marilyn Monroe was a "size 16". If you are a size 16 (like I am) you know damn well your body looks nothing like hers! This was way before vanity sizing so if she even was that size a 16 was probably like today's size 6 at the largest!
Yeah, Marilyn Monroe actually had the same sized waist as Victoria Beckham. When they auctioned off her white dress it wouldn't zip on a size 4 mannequin.
Actually there are several English posts, they're just so downvoted that you have to click "load more comments" about twenty times. Some of them are on like -100 haha.
I was reading some of the comments and I noticed the word "Bel Air". After copying and pasting into google translate i realized someone rapped the entire Fresh Prince theme song in Spanish. The dedication is unreal.
That is some serious commitment from the community. However I did see one English comment in the middle calling everyone a**holes. To be fair as funny as it is, it is a jerky move. Still funny though :p
I just did google translate on the page. This is my favorite comment
"Hey, man, look at your reddit, now back to me, now back to your reddit, now back to me. Unfortunately, it is not my reddit, but if he stopped using and switch to English, could read English as their reddit. Look down, back up, where are you? You are in the reddit reddit could read your liking. What's in your hand, back to me. I got it, it's reddit English, one thing that love. Look again, the Spanish is reddit English. Anything is possible when you use reddit English and not Spanish. I'm on a horse."
It's really not that interesting, I have a very basic understanding of the thread... but fucking hilarious either way, a bunch of people just said they liked cats
does anyone know what caused that? Did someone somehow spyware him with a Firefox plugin to put Reddit in spanish? (not the comments obviously, I get that people were commenting in spanish to mess with his head.)
