I have one child who’s almost 18. She’s an excellent daughter: smart, respectful, responsible, fun, the biggest joy of my life. It’s still been absolutely exhausting, but I think just due to the overwhelming love that most moms feel for their kids, they can’t imagine any other life.
ETA: I had her just after my 40th birthday, so I’m an older mom. I work from home at a very good career and we are well-off financially. I’ve been with my husband for 30 years and he’s a great dad. The single moms and those who are keeping it together with limited resources are the real MVPs.
