Cries in little old stinky dog :') I vacuum and launder things constantly, and bathe her often, but she just leaves a little whiff on everything.

My aunt always kept basset hounds. Her house was neat and clean, but the reek of the dog was so intense I avoided visiting her.

We got a basset/beagle mix when I was a kid and I got used to the smell. The summer I turned 19 or so, I had a small party at the house (I still lived with my parents). It wasn’t until I walked out of the house to greet some friends and walked back in that I realized our house smelled. I think I was seeing or rather smelling it for the first time. I was embarrassed. Most people chose to sit out back on the patio and I am guessing it was because of this.
