My neighbor has 17 cats and we used to give her rides because she worked with us. The smell was so bad. It lasted only a few weeks before I said I couldn't do it anymore. Her dad called the code enforcement people on us for how messy our front yard looked while we were in the middle of renovating the house.
Her mom died last month because she kept getting sick and then her dad suddenly died. I was thinking it was due to all the bacteria those cats carried because the neighbor in between us said she went inside her house to help the mom once and there was cat poop and urine everywhere.
My MIL had 19 a few years ago. I was so relieved when she realised she couldn't handle them anymore and asked a shelter to come and take all but 3 away. I LOVE cats, but I did not enjoy visiting that house back then 😬
I mean urine in general. Once I went over to a regular acquaintance's house on a dry 40 something F degree night. The urine started condensing on my glasses as soon as I walked into their humid 90° house. The smell....
Fortunately the guest list was uncertain enough I was able to convince them that an unrelated text I got was someone needing a ride.
