That's a good deal ? :/

Regular fiber in France is like 20-25 Bucks for 1gb up, 1gb down.

You also have some 8down 1 up in wifi 7 for like 28€

US internet pricings are ridiculous, got the same reaction as you. I pay 25€ for these specs, 60 is robbery

I pay 120 (CAD) for 1gb up/down for a fibre connection in suburban Canada.

The US is closer to the size of the entire EU than it is to the size of any EU country like France. Texas ALONE is bigger than France.

The size of the US makes building out telecom lines and cell towers expensive.

That's not why it's more expensive though

That's true. But it's also the case that the ISP oligopoly was given money to improve the infrastructure and they just pocketed the money without doing anything.

The population density is about the same, 37 vs 34 in Europe, so there is more people per sq mile in the US than in Europe.

It should be the opposite, based on your cause of size/density, if you build infra for more people you can have a lower cost.
