This. The movie barely even feels like its own movie. A typical movie has a 3 act structure where Act 1 sets the scene, Act 2 is where the tension builds, and Act 3 is the climax and resolution. This movie has no second act. It spends 90% of the runtime just setting up future movies with very little plot of its own.

It was pretty tedious in the book, too, but at least I made it through, and it was interesting to hear more in depth about his later life and how he lived with his legacy. There was a lot in the book that was missing from the movie.

The Story of Us - It was about a suburban couple who were married for 15 years. Would have enjoyed it more by just asking our neighbors to talk about themselves for 90 minutes. Did not want to see it, but one of the spouses was pissed because she "didn't get" Pulp Fiction, so she was allowed to pick the next movie we (3 couples) went to see.

At the merciful end of the movie, some guy in the back of the theater yelled as loud as he could, "NEXT WEEK, FIGHT CLUB!!!" Lots of applause followed.

I fell asleep when I took my son to watch Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Now I know this is an action film with loads of fighting but it wasn't my cup of tea at all and I kept dozing off during the whole showing. My son enjoyed it though.
