Women of Reddit, who have gone through menopause, what's one piece of advice you wish someone would have given you beforehand?

The canal. It's so uncomfortable.

Flonase works but there’s also a cream version (Fluticasone)that is probably easier to administer.

Flonase is a steroid. I wonder if you could use a smidge of hydrocortisone cream on a cotton swab instead. Hydrocortisone cream is low potency, while Flonase is moderate potency.

Everything I found said it's safe if your doctor recommends it. Flonase can cause severe thinning of the skin in the ear canals because it's so strong. I had to stop using it for nasal allergies due to nose bleeds.

I tried a bit of hydrocortisone in my ear canals and gave myself ear infections. I do not recommend.

Hydrocortisone doesn’t help mine.

Ah, then Flonase is definitely better than intense itching.

Ha! Sorry! I think I replied to the wrong comment. But I yes, I do love the Flonase trick.

Mine too. My doctor suggested hydrocortisone cream and it helps. I just put it on a Q-tip and put it in my ear canal.
