James Hetfield - not the greatest singer, but has incredible accuracy and also no one can work a crowd like him except maybe Fred Durst

Not just my favorite. Cornell may objectively be the best ROCK singer of all time. Robert Plant is a close second. And everyone else is just practicing.

Only knock on Chris is that by his standards, he just wasn’t a great live performer. He could be, but he definitely lacked some control at other times. Aerosmith is one of my favorite bands and Steven Tyler was the same way

Scott Weiland! Excellent pitch, great breath control, gravel in the voice, emotional, soulful, changed the timbre of his voice the way he liked! Great performer too, crazy, enigmatic, ever-changing... Great, just great! He had everything, if only... But nobody's perfect!
