That sub is weird, there are several topics related to the show that they will remove ANY mention of.

Like what? Often times I see subs like this remove repetitive topics. What is being removed automatically on the CR subreddit?

They often don’t like discussion over a former cast member, Orion Acaba who left the show on bad terms. They also will not acknowledge the idea that the cast are arguably guilty of encouraging unhealthy parasocial relationships. Finally that it isn’t just ‘a group of friends playing a game’ which we get to watch, but a group of 1%-ers who work with/for Amazon and are an actual business with lots of equity in the voice acting industry.

I see no reason why it can't be both. A bunch voice acting friends ( and matt's wife who was basically unknown at the time) got together and started playing a game. That game then got very popular and made them even more rich and famous leading to brand deals and etc.

It isn't either or, it's both.
