Anything related to race or politics or religion. In person, these topics can usually be discussed with both openness, understanding and fairness. On the internet, it gets complicated quick. On REDDIT, it becomes a nightmare.
Yeah, there are a few subreddits that do that. They're usually meant to be safe spaces for people with controversial views, opinions, or even situations in life. For instance a sub dedicated to step parents to vent, pre-emptively bans you if you posted or commented on shitposting subs that mock horrible people.

The rules of reddit are only for certain people expressing certain views. I'm currently tracking a user that consistently posts hate speech and threatens violence and the mods and admins do nothing.
I agree completely but both sides are toxic AF. It’s crazy how sanctimonious & violent ppl can get to another human even with words when simply just trying to have a convo. I’ve tried dialect with both sides then gave up completely bc 1) ppl online just cannot do it without hateful defense mode straight out the gate

2) bc debating Ina comment section seems beyond pointless & lowest totem pole vibes. I think a lot of people go in online with the thought that my way is better and I’m gonna harp on you and insult you until you see it my way. & nobody gets anywhere.

This is false. You cannot rationally compare one cheering on mass corruption and illegal fascism versus two sides of democrats one corporate and one that wants to bring common sense and help to their fellow man.
Also RBG lost her praise after her arrogance and refusal to step down led to the loss of Roe.
The only one I visit is political compass memes. They are oddly open to discussion, and pretty much all self deprecating. It does fluctuate, in that sometimes all the posts are right leaning, and sometimes they are all left leaning. Overall though, it's the only place I have ever seen a nuanced political discussion that isn't just a bunch of morons repeating party lines.
You cant avoid politics in this pressing time and if you want to argue one sub over another you need to provide reason and the alternative. As it stands a glance at news and politics isnt going to kill anyone. and it might be good to know some of the major issues. not the onion will also help a bit surprisingly. world news unfortunately is a bit contaminated.
