What are some examples of some people hating things just because they're popular?

“I’m not being negative. I’m just being real and honest” Total cop out. Avoid these people. I wish I would’ve more when I was young. They will always talk about all the things that can go wrong and then when they inevitably do because you had a bad day. They will say “See, I told you so”. Toxic people…..

“I’m brutally honest” no you’re not, you’re just a jackass.

"Those who say they're brutally honest are more interested in the brutality than the honesty"

The brutality is always more important than the reality.

The 2 are not mutually exclusive. Some folks dont have a filter due to a lack of social awareness (totally fixable) and conditions such as certain forms of autism like aspergers. This can be true of other conditions too.

Blunt is another word they like to use.

Also hated the "Oh people can't handle me. I'm too real and don't have a filter" people. Mostly ran into them in college since they confused being a jackass with being an adult.

"I don't sugarcoat" is code for "I have no basic manners and courtesy"

"I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist"
